Terms of service and sale
The rules for using Onyo and paying for it: what a plan includes, how credits work, how to cancel, and your rights.
Who we are
Onyo is a service published by APPBASE STUDIO LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16644572, whose registered office is at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). You can reach us by email at support@onyo.one or by phone at +33 7 56 91 72 63.
These terms apply to any use of Onyo, its API included, and to every purchase. You accept them when you sign in or make a purchase; each purchase is governed by the version in force on its date.
The service
Onyo lets you create videos, images and audio, and chat, with artificial intelligence models developed by other companies (such as Kling, Seedance, Gemini, Nano Banana, GPT, Claude or ElevenLabs). You use it in a web browser at app.onyo.one, or from your own programs through our API.
Results are generated automatically by these models, without human review. They may be inaccurate or unexpected, or resemble existing works or real people. Check them before you rely on them or publish them.
The list of models changes over time: we add new ones and may remove others, for instance when their developer withdraws them. Your past creations stay in your library.
Onyo is reserved for adults (18 or over).
Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code, without a password. Your account is created the first time you sign in. Keep access to your mailbox: it protects your account.
Your account is personal: don’t share it. If you create API tokens, keep them secret: whatever is done with a token counts as done by you. You can revoke a token at any time in the app’s settings.
Creating an account is free. Generating content uses credits, which come with a plan.
Plans and prices
Two plans are offered, Starter and Pro, each billed monthly or yearly. Their price, their monthly credits and the models they include are shown on our pricing page and before you pay. Premium models are reserved for Pro.
A yearly plan costs less than twelve months of the monthly plan. It is paid upfront for one year, and its credits are still added every month.
Prices are in US dollars, VAT included. Payment is made by our payment provider Stripe, on its secure payment page. Your plan starts and its credits are added as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Renewal and cancellation
Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period (one month, or one year for a yearly plan), at the same price and with the same payment method. On every plan, monthly credits are renewed each month, on the day of the month your period started.
A yearly plan is a one-year commitment: the year paid is not refunded if you stop using Onyo during it (see Refunds below).
You can cancel at any time and at no cost, from the app’s settings or by writing to us. Cancellation stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the period already paid (the month, or the year for a yearly plan): until then you keep your plan and keep receiving its monthly credits, and nothing more is charged.
You can change plans:
- moving up to Pro is paid right away, in full, at the price of the billing period you choose, and starts a new period; the period already paid is not refunded, and the monthly credits you had left move to your top-up credits;
- moving down to Starter, or switching between monthly and yearly billing, takes effect at the end of the current period and is billed then; until then you keep your current plan and its credits.
If we change our prices, the new price never applies to the current period. We tell you by email at least 30 days before the renewal concerned, and you can cancel before then.
Credits
Each generation (video, image or audio) and each chat answer costs credits, depending on the model and the settings you choose. The exact cost of a generation is shown before you start it. For chat, an estimate is shown and the actual cost is charged once the answer is written.
- Monthly credits come with your plan and are added every month, yearly plans included. They reset each month: unused monthly credits don’t carry over, except when you move up to Pro.
- Top-up credits are sold in packs while you have an active plan: Starter can buy the smallest pack, Pro every pack. They never expire.
- Monthly credits are used first, then top-up credits.
- Credits for work in progress are held until it ends. A generation that fails, is refused by moderation or is canceled is not charged. A chat answer you stop is charged for the part already written.
- Credits have no cash value: they can’t be exchanged for money, transferred to another account or resold.
When your plan ends, its monthly credits lapse. Your top-up credits stay on your account and remain usable, except on premium models.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from the day you subscribe to a plan or buy a top-up pack to withdraw from that purchase, without giving any reason.
Onyo supplies digital content as soon as you ask for it. When you buy, you therefore ask us to make your credits available right away, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once you start a generation or a chat answer.
- If you haven’t started any generation or chat answer since your purchase, you can withdraw within the 14 days and we refund you in full.
- Once you have started one, you can no longer withdraw from that purchase.
To withdraw, write to us at support@onyo.one from your account’s address and state your decision clearly, or send us the model form below. We refund you within 14 days of your request, with the payment method used for the purchase. Withdrawing from a plan ends it and removes its credits; withdrawing from a top-up removes its credits.
Refunds
Apart from the right of withdrawal above, payments are not refunded: neither the current period of your plan, monthly or yearly, nor top-up packs. You can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the period paid.
If we shut Onyo down for good, we tell you by email at least 30 days in advance. If we change the service significantly and to your detriment, we tell you in advance and you can end your plan right away. In both cases, for a plan only, we refund the share of the current period’s price that matches the monthly credits you haven’t used. On a yearly plan, these are the credits left in the current month plus those of the months still to come. Top-up packs are never refunded.
These rules apply without prejudice to the legal guarantee of conformity described below.
Limits and availability
To keep Onyo available to everyone, usage may be limited, for instance in the number of generations running at the same time. The app tells you when you reach a limit.
We do our best to keep Onyo available at all times, but interruptions can happen, for maintenance or when a model provider has an outage. A model may also be temporarily unavailable.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Onyo lawfully and in line with these terms. You must not create, upload or share through Onyo:
- sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes minors;
- sexual or intimate content showing a real person without their consent;
- content that impersonates a real person or uses their face, voice or likeness without their consent, to deceive, defame or harm;
- content that incites violence, hatred or discrimination, promotes terrorism, or harasses or threatens anyone;
- content that infringes the rights of others (copyright, trademarks, image rights, privacy);
- fake content presented as real to mislead the public, for instance about elections;
- any other illegal content.
You also must not:
- share or resell your account or your access to the service;
- use Onyo in an automated way (bots, scraping) other than through our API with your own tokens;
- try to get around usage limits, moderation or security measures.
The developer of each model may set its own content rules, which also apply.
Moderation
The companies that develop and run the models apply their own moderation and may refuse a request. A refused request is not charged.
We may remove content and suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. We warn you first, except in urgent or serious cases: content that sexualizes minors leads to immediate closure and is reported to the authorities.
To report content that seems illegal, write to support@onyo.one with the address of the content and the reason for your report.
Your content and creations
Your prompts, the files you upload and the results you generate are yours: we claim no rights over them. Depending on the country, AI-generated results may not be protected by copyright, and similar results may be generated for other users.
You may use your creations as you wish, commercially included, within the law, these terms and the usage rules of the model’s developer.
You allow us to store and process your content only to run the service. We don’t sell it and don’t use it to train models. Details are in our privacy policy.
You are responsible for what you upload and for how you use your creations. You must hold the rights needed for what you upload (images, videos, voices, people’s likeness) and, where the law requires it, say that realistic content showing people, places or events was generated or altered with AI.
Intellectual property
The Onyo brand, its interface, texts and code belong to us. Your account gives you a personal right to use the service, for as long as you have it.
Legal guarantees
As a consumer, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services. To use it, contact APPBASE STUDIO LTD, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom, by email at support@onyo.one or by phone at +33 7 56 91 72 63.
The consumer is entitled to the legal guarantee of conformity when a lack of conformity appears within one month (monthly plans), one year (yearly plans) or two years (top-up credits) from the supply of the digital content or digital service. During that time, the consumer only has to prove that the lack of conformity exists, not when it appeared.
The legal guarantee of conformity includes the obligation to supply all the updates needed to keep the digital content or digital service in conformity for one month (monthly plans), one year (yearly plans) or two years (top-up credits).
The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the digital content or digital service brought into conformity without undue delay after the request, free of charge and without major inconvenience.
The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the digital content or digital service, or end the contract with a full refund in return for giving up the digital content or digital service, if:
- the trader refuses to bring the digital content or digital service into conformity;
- bringing it into conformity is unduly delayed;
- bringing it into conformity cannot be done without costs for the consumer;
- bringing it into conformity causes major inconvenience to the consumer;
- the lack of conformity persists despite the trader’s unsuccessful attempt to bring it into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to end the contract when the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination. The consumer then does not have to ask first for the digital content or digital service to be brought into conformity.
When the lack of conformity is minor, the consumer may only end the contract if the contract does not provide for the payment of a price.
Any period during which the digital content or digital service is unavailable while being brought into conformity suspends the remaining guarantee until it is supplied in conformity again.
These rights result from articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the French Consumer Code. A trader who obstructs in bad faith the enforcement of the legal guarantee of conformity incurs a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be raised to 10% of average annual turnover (article L. 242-18-1 of the French Consumer Code).
The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from the discovery of the defect. It gives the right to a price reduction if the digital content or digital service is kept, or to a full refund in return for giving it up.
Liability
We put in place the means needed for Onyo to work properly. Results are generated by AI models: you remain responsible for checking them and for the use you make of them. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the law as a consumer.
Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to support@onyo.one from your account’s address. We then stop your plan from renewing and delete your data as described in our privacy policy; your creations and remaining credits are deleted with it, without refund.

We may update these terms. New terms apply to new purchases as soon as they are published. For a current plan, we tell you by email at least 30 days before they apply; if you refuse them, you can cancel your plan.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
If something goes wrong, write to us first at support@onyo.one: we’ll look for an amicable solution with you. Failing that, you can bring the matter before the competent court, including the court of your place of residence.

- Plan and credits: your plan and its dates, your credit balance and its movements, your payments and invoices, and the identifiers Stripe gives us. We never see your full card number.

Why, and on what basis
- Providing the service (account, generations, chat, library, API): performance of the contract.
- Plans, payments and invoices: performance of the contract and our legal obligations (accounting, tax).
- Service emails (sign-in codes, notices about your plan): performance of the contract.

We don’t sell your data, don’t use it for advertising and don’t use your content to train AI models. We don’t send marketing emails without your consent.
Who receives it
- The AI providers that run the models you choose: OpenRouter (United States) for chat and some image and video models, and fal (United States) for images, videos and audio. Depending on the model, they pass your request (prompt and attached files) to the company that develops it, such as Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Kuaishou (Kling), ByteDance (Seedance), MiniMax or ElevenLabs, which may process it outside the European Union, including in the United States or China.
- Vercel (United States): hosting of the websites, the app and the API, which runs in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Neon: our database, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Cloudflare (United States): storage and delivery of media files (media.onyo.one) and our domain names.

- Our team, only as far as needed.
Transfers outside the European Union
Our company is established in the United Kingdom, which benefits from an adequacy decision of the European Commission. Our database is in the European Union (Frankfurt). Some providers are in the United States or elsewhere: these transfers rely on the safeguards of the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Account and settings: as long as your account exists.
- Your content: until you delete it or delete your account.
- Sign-in codes: valid for 5 minutes.
- Sign-in sessions, with their IP address and browser: a session expires 7 days after your last visit; its record is deleted when you sign out, within a day of its expiry, or with your account.
- Anti-abuse counters on sign-in, keyed by IP address: removed after about a minute.
- Payments and invoices: as long as accounting and tax rules require.
- Technical logs at our host Vercel (requests, IP address, browser, errors): 1 day at most.
- AI providers: under their own policies; fal, for instance, keeps generated files for at least 7 days.
Your media files
Your files are stored by Cloudflare and served from media.onyo.one at long, hard-to-guess addresses. They are listed nowhere, but anyone who has the address of a file can open it. Deleting a file from your library deletes it from our storage.
Cookies and local storage
Onyo uses no advertising or analytics cookies and no trackers. This website (onyo.one) sets no cookies. The app uses only:
- a session cookie, set by api.onyo.one when you sign in, which keeps you signed in;
- preference cookies on app.onyo.one, which remember your language, your theme and whether the sidebar is open;
- your browser’s local storage, to remember on your device which tips you have dismissed.
Stripe’s payment page sets its own cookies, needed for payment security. These cookies are strictly necessary or set at your request, so they don’t require your consent.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to give instructions on what happens to your data after your death.
In the app, you can change your name and delete your creations and API tokens yourself. For any other request, write to support@onyo.one from your account’s address. We reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) in France or with the data protection authority of your country.
Children
Onyo is reserved for adults. We don’t knowingly collect data about minors.
Security
All communications are encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in codes and API tokens are stored only as fingerprints (hashes), and there is no password to steal. Access to data is limited to the people and providers who need it.
Changes
We may update this policy. We tell you about significant changes by email or in the app.
